Silverstone is the home of the Santander British Grand Prix, the UK's only round of the FIA Formula 1™ World Championship. Being so close to the paddock and pits gives an opportunity to view the hustle and bustle of the action both on the track and backstage and, with patience, maybe get an autograph or two. This year there are no fewer than 4 British Drivers: Jenson Button -Honda, David Coultard -Red Bull, Lewis Hamilton- McLaren Anthony Davidson- Super Aguri. |

There are so many photo opportunities - the Drivers Parade when the open top vintage cars stop level with the suite as the F1 drivers either disembark, and walk down the track back to the Pits, or wait in line to be driven those last few yards. More close up shots as the cars pull into the pits and again as the drivers complete the pre race lap and slow right down to line up on the grid again. Expect goosebumps as the F1 cars pull away from the Start Grid and feel the vibration of the kickback as the cars slow down to meet the speed restriction on the Pit Lane only feet away. |
